Grand Opening of the New Court Complex in Welimada
The new Court Complex at Welimada costing Rs. 490 million, constructed by the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd was ceremoniously declared open by His Excellency Ranil Wickramasinghe, President of Sri Lanka on 03rd of November 2023 along with Hon. Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, MP, the Hon. Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, Nimal Siripala de Silva, MP.
The ceremony was attended by State Ministers Mr. Anuradha Jayaratne, MP; Mr. Thenuka Vidanagamage, MP; Mr. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, MP; together with Members of Parliament Mr. Aravindh Kumar, MP; Mr. Sudarshana Denipitiya, MP and Hon. Uva Governor Mr. A. J. M. Muzammil.
The occasion was graced by the Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya, High Court Judges, District Court Judges, Magistrate Court Judges, and members of the Uva Judicial Bar Association.
The Welimada Courts Complex, spaced as two storied main court building consisting of MC Quarters, DC Quarters, Canteen, Public waiting area, Security Room, Post office, Police Post, and supported with standby Generator facility, Water tank and pump house etc.
Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd is happy to have been the construction partner for the development of judicial infrastructure in Welimada. The project was awarded to our parent organization Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau as a Design and Build contract.
