Grand Opening of the New Court Complex in Rathnapura
The new Ratnapura Court Complex costing Rs.1400million, constructed by the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd was ceremoniously declared open by His Excellency Ranil Wickramasinghe, President of Sri Lanka, along with Hon. Minister of Justice, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, MP, Hon. State Minister of Justice and Prison Affairs, Mr. Anuradha Jayarathna MP on 11th July 2023. The occasion was graced by His Lordship Chief Justice, Hon. Judges of the Ratnapura High Court, Secretary, Ministry of Justice, and in the presence of several dignitaries and the President and Members of the Ratnapura Judicial Bar Association.
The comprehensive Ratnapura Court Complex, with a total floor area of about 10,000 sqm spaced in four stories together with basement, houses two Magistrate Courts, two District Courts, two Commercial High Courts, one Labour Tribunal, one Civil Appeal Court. The complex is served with three lifts for vertical transportation and is aesthetically designed, landscaped, linked with access road network, parking spaces, security, public canteens, sanitary comforts and connected with public address system.
The Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd is happy to be part of the development of judicial infrastructure in the historic city of Rathnapura.
