The National Wildlife Research and Training Centre (NWRTC), Girithale
Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd successfully completed construction of the National Wildlife Research and Training Centre (NWRTC), Girithale funded by the World Bank with Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau as the Engineer to the project, Eco System Conservation and Management Project as the Employer and Department of Wildlife Conservation as End User.
The project was awarded to CESL on 20th October 2022 by the Eco System Conservation and Management Project for Rs.918million after the previous contractor was terminated due to poor performance and with 90% of construction works remaining. CESL completed the works within 4 months and handed it over to the employer on 30th March 2023 ahead of the expected completion date of 16th April 2023.
The building complex consists of 3 buildings: Admin block and Research Center with auditorium and laboratories covering an extent approximately 25000sqft; 20 Bedroom Hostel with cafeteria and dining area approximately 20000sqft; and Academic block with library, computer lab and lecture halls for accommodating training programs for both local and foreign students covering approximately 28000sqft.
CESL is proud to announce the completion of the project within the Girithale National Forest Reserve with zero environmental impact due to the extra protective measures taken to offset environmental impact of the project to the reserve biodiversity and ecosystem.
