Grand Opening of the newly constructed District Magistrate Courts at Medawachchiya and Kahatagasdigiliya
The new District Magistrate Courts of Medawachchiya and Kahatagasdigiliya constructed under “Vistas of Prosperity†vision of His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, was declared open by Hon. Mohamed Ali Sabri, PC, Minister of Justice on 26th of October 2021, with the participation of the Hon. Governor of the North Central Province, Hon. Ministers and Hon. Members of Parliament of the Anuradhapura District and Engineers of the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd.
These two Magistrate Courts were constructed by the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd., for the client Ministry of Justice.
The Medawachchiya Magistrate Court Building has been completed at a cost of Rs. 116 million ​and the Kahatagasdigiliya Magistrate Court Building has been completed at a cost of Rs. 84 million.
