The General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) is implementing construction of Seven-Storied Faculty Building Complex designed to provide modern teaching ambiences and student facilities for the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities at Ratmalana, with Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd as the Contractors for the construction works. The project with an estimated cost of Rs. 517,561958.39 is planned to be completed within a year.
The construction work of the faculty building complex commenced on 11th June 2021. The inaugural event was graced by Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Mphil, Vice Chancellor of KDU, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Deans of Faculties, Members of the Faculty of Management members, Social Sciences and Humanities Senior military officers and CESL Engineers.
