The construction work of the Kandy National Hospital project being carried out by Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd (CESL) were observed by the Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media on 13th February, 2025. The Chairman of the Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd Eng. A.P. Jayatissa and other officials were present for the observation.

Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, said that they are planning to allocate an amount of approximately 1500 million rupees this year for the completion of the construction works of the 04 main development projects of the Kandy National Hospital, which are currently halted.

Accordingly, the projects of the New Cancer Complex, the Thalassemia Ward Complex, the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Accident & Emergency care unit, and the Isolation Ward Complex of the Kandy National Hospital were inspected by the Minister of Health and Mass Media.
